Current Scholarship Opportunities 

Scholarship opportunities are e-mailed to seniors throughout the year from Mr. Scott Woodland, Guidance Counselor. The below opportunities have also been sent via email.

Coolidge Scholarship 

The Coolidge Scholarship is an annually awarded, full-ride, presidential scholarship that covers a student’s tuition, room, board, and expenses for four years of undergraduate study and leadership training. This one-of-a-kind scholarship may be used at any accredited college or university in the U.S.. Anyone of any background, pursuing any academic discipline of study, may apply to this non-partisan, need-blind, program. Students apply for the Coolidge Scholarship during their junior year of high school.

Cyberbullying Prevention for Teens Scholarship

$1000 non-renewable scholarship. All participants must research and submit a 600-1000 word essay regarding the following topic "Why and How to Stop Cyberbullying".
Who can apply? Any high school student planning to attend college. Restricted to US citizens.

Facing Acne Scholarship

The scholarship is open to students who meet the following criteria: US Citizen, currently enrolled as either a high school senior OR a college student at an accredited US based college or University, and have and maintain a minimum 3.00 GPA.

To apply for the Facing Acne scholarship, simply create a short video answering the questions below. Please keep videos five minutes or less.

- How has the Internet changed the way you take care of your health?
- What future developments do you hope to see in the use of the Internet as a tool for maintaining and improving your health?

Applying should be fun, but to have a better shot at winning applicants should try to make their video stand out from the others. Be creative! The video can be entertaining or informative, but it should be unique and interesting. The video that can best capture all of the above in under five minutes will win the scholarship.

HonorsGradU Multimedia Scholarship

Honors Grad U is an educational blog dedicated to providing teachers with resources to help students graduate and go to college. They offer an annual scholarship available to college-bound high school seniors. This is a chance for creative voices to be heard! Through art, music, photography, or creative writing, you can use the prompt to create and share your work for a chance at one of five $1,000 scholarships. This year's prompt is: Represent your views about the concepts of education vs. learning.

Do you love New Jersey? Are you a New Jersey resident who is looking continue their education in state?, a local digital marketing company that highlights the best things to do in NJ, is proud to offer the Scholarship. The Scholarship is awarding college scholarships to high school seniors who plan on attending one of New Jersey’s public or private colleges or universities. Applicants may be attending a 2-year community college, a 4-year college or a vocational-technical program. Applicants must submit a creative essay and resume.

J. Staats Brokaw Entrepreneurial Award

Each year, the Clinton Business Group Foundation selects three graduating seniors from Hunterdon County's five high schools, as well as Hunterdon County Polytech and private-school/homeschoolers, as finalists for the organization's Staats Brokaw Entrepreneurial Spirit Award. All three finalists are invited to attend the local networking group's Awards Breakfast in May. To be considered, each finalist submits a 350 to 500 word essay and each will receive $1,000.00,for the effort. The grand prize winner is announced at the breakfast meeting and receives an additional $1,000.00. The awards are presented by the J. Staats Brokaw Entrepreneurial Spirit Award Committee.

Janet Logan Daily Foundation Scholarship

The Janet Logan Daily Foundation awards an annual $10,000 scholarship to one graduating high school senior in New Jersey who enrolls full-time in an accredited university or college within the United States. The foundation was established in memory of Janet Logan Daily, a New Jersey teacher who cultivated special bonds with students, friends, family and newcomers. Janet's warmth continues with this scholarship.
Applicants must meet the following criteria: students must have worked an average of 30 hours per week during the summer since the age of 16, actively participate in at least one extra-curricular activity, and have a minimum GPA of 2.5. Financial need may be considered when selecting the recipient.

LendEDU Scholarship

The LendEDU Scholarship is a $1,000 scholarship award. The scholarship can be used to cover any and all costs related to your education. The LendEDU Scholarship can be used to cover tuition, textbooks, room and board, and even living expenses. The LendEDU Scholarship will be awarded to 2 students this Spring.

DVRHS Local Scholarship Application Process

Applications for the Class of 2017 will be available in February 2017. 
The Local Scholarship Application includes scholarships that are awarded to DVRHS seniors by school or community organizations. 

Additional Scholarship Opportunities partners with 180 colleges to offer micro-scholarships to students for their achievements starting as early as the 9th grade. Students can earn micro-scholarships for their grades in core classes, their involvement in a club or sport, their volunteer hours, and more things they are already doing! When students are accepted into a partner college, the micro-scholarships they earn will automatically be calculated into their financial aid package for that college.
